I chose to be an accountant/CPA because I enjoy my job solving clients' tax problems. Throughout my 30 plus years of career, I witnessed my clients’ lives were positively impacted by my services and they have grown their business as a result.

In 1978, I immigrated to America, the greatest country in the world when I was a teenager. I graduated from UCLA in 1988 and obtained my CPA license in 1993.

Not knowing any English words, I grew up being supported by a single mother who showed me the importance of hard work, education, and surviving poverty - what it means to make a living in a tough environment.

This experience led me later to open up my other successful retirement homes and medical consulting businesses, including the current Paul Joo CPA accounting firm.
